I had the privilege of making cupcakes for another one year old birthday this past weekend. I love these! Mom wanted lots and lots of color for this polka dot and striped theme. I hope I did not disappoint. The striped fondant butterfly is a cool technique that I finally figured out how to do after several attempts. Also, not pictured are the orange cupcakes.

Princess Cupcakes
Star wands with stars glitter sprinkles and yummy vanilla candy castles. The great thing about cupcakes for a party is that each child can pick their own and have their very own castle or wand! Strawberry cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and vanilla with vanilla.

Alice in Wonderland Inspired Cupcakes
These were really fun to do! I was going to keep them simple with just teacups and teapots, but then I got inspired to do the "eat me" tags, clock and flowers. There's so much more I could do as well - chesire cat smiles, ace of spades, bunny ears...

One Year Old Birthday Cupcakes
Mom wanted the birthday boy to have a replica of his favorite pacifier on top. I made a jumbo cupcake for him and a paci out of fondant to go on top. I wonder what he thought about when he saw it...
