Spring Cupcakes

I recently worked on a new recipe. I came up with this yummy pina colada recipe after the first attempt was too much like a muffin. These were super moist with crushed fresh pineapple in the buttercream and finished with a sprinkle of coconut. Delicious.

Here are some Easter cupcakes I came up with.... buttercream grass with fondant accents.  Perfect for kids' Easter parties or family get togethers.

Pretty pansey petit fours.  Turquoise is my new favorite color. 



And, a new lemon cupcake recipe with lemon cream cheese frosting.  Simply perfect.

Somebody killed the cupcakes!

Bloody knife cupcakes. These were for a young man who wanted horror movie cupcakes for his birthday. Boys!

Baseball & Basketball Cupcakes

Ball cupcakes for a two year old birthday party.  These were all buttercream!  I was really pleased with how they turned out.  

Bear Turns Two

My baby boy (nicknamed 'Bear') turned two in March.  We celebrated with a simple party at home with family and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom cupcakes. 

He is totally in to letters and the children's book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.  I found the coconut tree at Hobby Lobby and cut the letters out of fondant with my cricut machine.  I tried to attached some of the cupcakes to the tree but they started falling off.  Kind of like in the book!

I wanted chocolate chip cookie cupcakes and ended up making three different recipes trying to find one that we loved.  Third time's a charm. 

They were fabulous.  The cake tasted just like a chocolate chip cookie.  And what is better than a chocolate chip cookie?  A chocolate chip cookie covered in buttercream frosting! 

I think he liked them!

CAST Musical Cupakes

I love my job!  I recently had the privilege of making cupcakes for some of the cast members of the CATS musical. 
I often get inspiration for my designs by scouring the intranet for ideas.   However, with this request, I struggled a bit.  Type in 'CATS musical cupcakes' into Google and what do you get?  ...nothing. 

Not anymore!!!!!

Super Mario Cupcakes

I remember playing my brother's Super Mario Brothers game on Nintendo as a kid.  Now, here I am twenty years later making Mario cupcakes!  Next time, I will definitely have to attempt Mario himself.
