Busy Week

I made these simple yet adorable cupcakes for my best friend Sara's baby shower.  We had a blast surprising her AND eating cupcakes.

On Friday, I made Hello Kitty cupcakes.  I LOVED Hello Kitty when I was a kid.  I could spend hours in the Sanrio store at the mall.  Now, I spend hours making Hello Kitty cupcakes!  The faces are made of fondant and did take a while to make. But, I'm getting faster as I go.

Today I finished up 4 dozen mini Halloween inspired cupcakes for a first birthday party which was at a pumpkin patch.  The bats and ghosts are handmade using vanilla and dark chocolate candy melts.  They were REALLY good.  I goofed on a few of them so I sampled...

And and regular size pumpkin cupcake for the birthday girl.

Cupcakes for a Cause

I was honored to participate in Sam's Sprint this past weekend.  Biddy Bear Cupcakes raised just over $200 for the Samuel Dustin Clark Foundation.  Proceeds from the race are going to help build a toddler playground at our community park.  Thank you to everyone who came out and bought a cupcake.

I was very exciting to be a part of it and am already looking forward to doing it again next year.

Go cupcakes!

Golf and Princess Cupcakes

No. These two don't go together, but I this is how I finished off my week.

Golf cupcakes in memory of Gaga, Danny's grandfather for the 3rd Annual Sneed Ladd Memorial Golf Tournament. Wishing he was there to see them, his great grand kids, and the wonderful turn out in his honor

.

And princess cupcakes for a princess tea birthday party.  Pretty enough for royalty.  Don't ya' think?
